==History== The party first contested [[1992 Albanian parliamentary election|national elections]] in 1992, when it received 2.7% of the national vote and won two seats.<ref name=NS>[[Dieter Nohlen|Nohlen, D]] & Stöver, P (2010) ''Elections in Europe: A data handbook'', pp139–142 {{ISBN|9783832956097}}</ref> The [[1996 Albanian parliamentary election|1996 elections]] saw the party increase its share of the vote to 4%, winning three seats.<ref name=NS/> Although the party's vote share dropped to 3.2% in the [[1997 Albanian parliamentary election|early elections in 1997]], it gained an additional MP, winning four seats. However, another drop in the party's support in the [[2001 Albanian parliamentary election|2001 elections]] saw it reduced to three seats. Despite again increasing its vote share to 4.1% in the [[2005 Albanian parliamentary election|2005 elections]], the party lost another MP as it was reduced to two seats.
