==Plot==
''Yu-Gi-Oh R'' takes place following [[List of Yu-Gi-Oh! characters#Yugi Muto|Yugi Mutou]]'s victory in the Battle City tournament. Yako Tenma, the protégé and adopted son of [[List of Yu-Gi-Oh! characters#Maximillion Pegasus|Maximillion Pegasus]],<!--The VIZ ''Yu-Gi-Oh!'' manga uses most of the original Japanese names for humans, but Pegasus is the main exception--> decides to avenge his teacher's defeat at the hands of Yugi, believing him to be responsible for Pegasus' alleged death. After taking over [[KaibaCorp]] while [[List of Yu-Gi-Oh! characters#Seto Kaiba|Seto Kaiba]] is in the United States, Tenma kidnaps [[List of Yu-Gi-Oh! characters#Téa Gardner|Anzu Mazaki]], prompting Yugi and his friend [[List of Yu-Gi-Oh! characters#Joey Wheeler|Katsuya Jonouchi]] to face Tenma's RA Project and the duel professors. Seto Kaiba and his brother [[List of Yu-Gi-Oh! characters#Mokuba Kaiba|Mokuba]] also come to the scene to rescue the company.
