The audio coding standards '''MPEG-4 Low Delay''' ([[AAC-LD]]), '''Enhanced Low Delay''' (AAC-ELD), and '''Enhanced Low Delay v2''' (AAC-ELDv2) as defined in ISO/IEC 14496-3:2009 and ISO/IEC 14496-3:2009/Amd 3 are designed to combine the advantages of perceptual audio coding with the low delay necessary for two-way communication.
