==Coaching career== [[File:Alex English, Jay Triano, Marc Iavaroni.jpg|thumb|right| English (left) on the 2009β10 [[Toronto Raptors]] coaching staff]] English began his coaching career in the National Basketball Development League (now called the [[NBA G League]]) as the head coach of the [[North Charleston Lowgators]] in the [[2001β02 National Basketball Development League season|2001β02 season]]; this was the first season of the league.
