The Baltimore Ravens promoted defensive line coach [[Rex Ryan]] to defensive coordinator after [[Mike Nolan]] accepted the head coaching position with the [[San Francisco 49ers]]. Ryan opted to retain Reed and Will Demps as the starting safeties for the fourth consecutive season.
