===Self recommendation scheme=== This scheme is designed for applicants with outstanding achievements in extracurricular activities. Applicants may apply for this scheme in addition to the main selection scheme and are permitted to submit a portfolio of extracurricular activities to the institutions to which they apply. This allows institutions to consider the applicants' accomplishments in non-academic areas alongside their academic performance. The aim of the scheme is to encourage broader participation in extracurricular activities during secondary education.
