The first chairman of Ofcom (2002–2009) was [[David Currie, Baron Currie of Marylebone]], Dean of [[Cass Business School]] at [[City University, London|City University]]. The first chief executive (2003–2007) was [[Stephen Carter, Baron Carter of Barnes]], formerly a senior executive of [[J. Dame [[Patricia Hodgson]] was appointed as chairman of Ofcom for a three-year term from April 2014.
