In [[Cameroon]] bushmeat markets, the [[Central African rock python]] is commonly sold for meat and is very expensive at US$175.<ref name = "Jensen_2017" /> The poaching of the pythons is illegal in [[Cameroon]] under their wildlife law, but there is little to no enforcement.
