Digby - geograph.org.uk - 490129.jpg|thumb|Aerials at RAF Digby.]] === Joint Service Signals Organisation === The Joint Service Signals Organisation is part of [[Joint Forces Intelligence Group]] branch of [[Defence Intelligence]]. It provides direct support to strategic decision making and operations and is made up of personnel from all three services. The JSSO also conducts research into new communications systems and techniques in order to provide operational support to static and deployed units of the armed forces.<ref name="Joint Service Signal Unit Digby">{{Cite web|url=https://www.raf.mod.uk/rafdigby/aboutus/jssu.cfm|title=Joint Service Signal Unit (Digby)|website=RAF Digby|language=en|access-date=30 July 2017}}</ref> Joint Service Signal Unit (Digby) is one of several Joint Service Signal Units (JSSU) within the JSSO and provides specialist communications information systems to the British Armed Forces.<ref name="Joint Service Signal Unit Digby"/> === No. 591 Signals Unit === No. 591 Signals Unit (591 SU) is a communications and electronic security monitoring organisation providing services to the RAF. The unit was established on 1 June 1952 at RAF Wythall. It moved to Digby in 1955 and was transferred to [[RAF Strike Command|Strike Command]] in July 2000 when it became an Air Combat Support Unit (ACSU) of the [[Air Warfare Centre|RAF Air Warfare Centre]].
