== International cooperation ==
The [[China Internet Information Center]] stated in a 2005 article that China had inter-governmental cooperative S&T agreements with 96 nations, cooperative S&T programs with 152 nations and regions, and participated in more than 1,000 international S&T cooperative organizations. NGO international exchanges and cooperative activities had increased.  The [[China Association for Science and Technology]] and related organizations as well as the [[National Natural Science Foundation of China]] participated in many cooperative international organizations.
