Scully received an Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from both [[Massachusetts College of Art and Design|Massachusetts College of Art]] and the [[National University of Ireland]] in 2003, and a Doctor of Letters degree from [[Newcastle University]].<ref name=":1" /> He received an Honorary Doctorate from [[Miguel Hernández University of Elche|Miguel Hernández University]] in 2006 and 2008.
