As air traffic controllers carry a high responsibility, they are typically required to meet high requirements and possess distinct skills. These include strong [[situational awareness]], organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously as well as always being thorough and paying attention to detail. Controllers must be able to make quick decisions, particularly in dynamic or high-stress situations.
