However, garbage collectors compatible with many limited environments have been developed.<ref name="Fu-Hauser_2005"/> The Microsoft [[.NET Micro Framework]], .NET nanoFramework<ref name="nanoframework"/> and [[Java Platform, Micro Edition]] are embedded software platforms that, like their larger cousins, include garbage collection.
