==== Ireland ==== An Irish ''[[seanchaí]]'' (plural: ''seanchaithe''), meaning bearer of "old lore"'','' was a traditional [[Irish language]] storyteller (the [[Scottish Gaelic]] equivalent being the ''seanchaidh,'' [[Anglicisation|anglicised]] as shanachie).
