====Phytoplasma==== Overshooting is the term used when ''[[Phytoplasma]]'', a specialized [[bacterium]], attacks the [[phloem]] of a plant. ''Phytoplasma'' infection is characterized by [[chlorotic]] small leaves, shortening of [[internode (botany)|internodes]], excessive lateral [[Shoot (botany)|shoot]]s and abnormal flowers.
