Lin dated Taiwanese actor [[Jimmy Lin Chih Ying|Jimmy Lin]], whom she met when filming ''[[School Days (1995 film)|School Days]]'', from 1995 to 1997. In 2019, Lin enrolled in the Shanghai [[Master of Business Administration|MBA]] program of the Department of Communication Management at [[Shih Hsin University]].
