Before the negotiators arrived at the cabin, FBI [[Police sniper|sniper]] [[Lon Horiuchi]], from a position over {{convert|200|yd}} north and above the Weaver cabin,<ref name=RRTF_OPR_IVF2f>RRTF, ''Report of the RRTF to the OPR'' (1994), Ch.
