===Final composition and election method=== Wyong Shire Council was composed of ten [[councillor]]s elected [[Single transferable vote|proportionally]] as two separate [[Ward (country subdivision)|wards]] (previously known as "[[Riding (division)|ridings]]"), each electing five councillors. All councillors were elected for a fixed four-year term of office. The [[mayor]] was elected by the councillors at the first meeting of the council.
