===Former councils=== The following merged in 2008 to form the current council: *Connecticut Trails Council of Girl Scouts (1964β2008) formed by the merger of Blue Trails, Derby Shelton, Eastern Connecticut, Laurel Trails, New London Area and Middlesex Area councils. In 1995, Connecticut Yankee Council of Girl Scouts merged.
