{{Lang|su|Angklung calung}} or {{Lang|su|calung}} is a prototype musical instrument made of bamboo. In contrast to the {{Lang|su|angklung}} which is played by shaking, the {{Lang|su|calung}} is played by hitting the rods ({{Lang|su|wilahan, bilah}}) of sections of bamboo tubes arranged according to {{Lang|su|titi laras}} (pentatonic scales), {{Lang|su|da-mi-na-ti-la}}. Most commonly {{Lang|su|calung}} are made from {{Lang|su|awi wulung}} (black bamboo), but some are made from {{Lang|su|awi temen}} (white bamboo).

The meaning of {{Lang|su|calung}}, apart from being a musical instrument, is also attached to the term performance art. There are two known forms of {{Lang|su|calung Sunda}}, namely {{Lang|su|calung rantay}} and {{Lang|su|calung jinjing}}. This musical instrument is a traditional Sundanese musical instrument, which is also known and developed in the Banyumas region. When playing the {{Lang|su|calung rantay}}, the player usually plays by sitting cross-legged, while a person playing {{Lang|su|calung jinjing}} carries the bamboo that has been lined up and plays it while standing.
