==Ahenobarbus/Aenobarbus== The name Ahenobarbus/Aenobarbus (Ἀηνόβαρβος) comes from a plebeian family of the [[Domitia gens]], known for their distinctive red hair which many of this family had. The origin of the name, meaning "Brazen-bearded," is explained through a myth that ties the family to the Dioscuri. According to the legend, one of the family's ancestors was informed by the Dioscuri of the Roman victory over the [[Latin League]] at the [[Battle of Lake Regillus]].
