=== Teller Lift Accident === The Teller Lift was a Yan 1000 model triple chair installed in 1984 as part of the North Peak expansion. On December 14, 1985, the upper [[bullwheel]] disconnected from the main gearbox shaft, resulting in dozens of lift riders being thrown from their chairs onto the slope below. Two riders were killed and an additional 47 were injured.<ref>{{cite web |last1=Johnson |first1=Brad |title=Over 30 years ago, Keystone lift accident left 2 dead, 49 injured |url=https://www.summitdaily.com/news/keystone-lift-accident-was-25-years-ago-this-week/ |website=SummitDaily |date=20 December 2016 |access-date=8 August 2022}}</ref> Faulty welding was blamed for the accident.<ref>{{cite news|url=https://www.nytimes.com/1985/12/18/us/around-the-nation-faulty-weld-is-blamed-for-ski-lift-accident.html|title=Faulty Weld Is Blamed For Ski Lift Accident|author=UPI|date=December 18, 1985|work=[[The New York Times]]|access-date=June 16, 2018}}</ref> The lift was rebuilt by Yan as the Ruby Lift, free of charge.
