The [[Oriental Orthodoxy|Oriental Orthodox]] churches, distinguished by their [[Miaphysitism|Miaphysite]] beliefs, consist of the [[Armenian Apostolic Church]], [[Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria]] (whose Patriarch is considered first among equals for the following churches), [[Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church]], [[Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church]], [[Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church|Indian Orthodox Church]], and [[Syriac Orthodox Church]] of Antioch.
