Among others, Tokhtamysh had married the widow of Mamai, probably identical with a daughter of [[Berdi Beg]] and with the [[Tulun Beg Khanum]] who had briefly ruled at Sarai in 1370–1371; in 1386 he had her executed, apparently for participating in an obscure conspiracy.<ref>Počekaev 2010: 165.</ref> According to the ''Muʿizz al-ansāb'', Tokhtamysh had eight sons and five daughters, as well as six grandchildren, as follows.<ref>Vohidov 2006: 45–46; the ''Tawārīḫ-i guzīdah-i nuṣrat-nāmah'' generally agrees, but places Sayyid Aḥmad correctly as the son of Karīm Berdi and gives variant names for two of the daughters: Tizengauzen 2006: 435; Sabitov 2008: 55–56.</ref>
