U.S. Air Force MQ-1B Predators have been involved in reconnaissance and strike sorties in [[Operation Unified Protector]]. Predators returned to Libya in 2012, after [[U.S. Consulate attack in Benghazi|the attack]] that killed the US Ambassador in [[Benghazi]]. MQ-9 Reapers were also deployed.<ref name="Libyan officials: U.S. drones behind airport closure" />
