In January 2009 [[Girl Scouts of Swift Water Council]] which served New Hampshire and 60 towns in southeastern Vermont merged with the Girl Scout Council of Vermont to form the '''Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains'''. *Camp Farnsworth is over {{convert|300|acre|km2}} near [[Thetford, Vermont|Thetford]].  It surrounds {{convert|50|acre|km2|adj=on}} Lake Abenaki.  It was started as a girls' camp in 1909 and became a Girl Scout camp in 1959. In 2009 its 100th anniversary was celebrated.
