These signs may be used to indicate the hazards of fallen or falling rocks on the road ahead. They are usually pictographs, but may also include wording, such as "falling rocks". In [[Italy]] the words may be "{{lang|it|caduta [[wikt:sassi#Italian|sassi]]}}" or "{{lang|it|caduta massi}}"; in [[France]] "{{lang|fr|chute de pierres}}"; in [[Mexico]] "{{linktext|derrumbe|lang=es}}s".
