===Stress=== Many countries regulate work hours to ensure that controllers are able to remain focused and effective. Research suggests, that after prolonged periods of continuous work for more than two hours without a break, performance can deteriorate rapidly, even at low traffic levels.<ref name="Hopkin1995">{{cite book |last=Hopkin |first=V.
