==GEDCOM X== In February 2012 at the RootsTech 2012 conference, [[FamilySearch]] outlined a major new project around genealogical standards called GEDCOM X, and invited collaboration.<ref name="gedcomx">{{cite web|url=http://www.gedcomx.org/|title=GEDCOM X|publisher=FamilySearch|access-date=February 4, 2012}}</ref> It includes software developed under the [[Apache License|Apache]] [[open source license]].
