In 1997, Datapac was bought by [[Citrix Systems, Inc.]],<ref name="Citrix_1997"/><ref name="Duursma_2006_Citrix"/><ref name="Costello_1997_DataPac"/> and System Manager was abandoned soon after. In 2002 the Sydney-based unit was spun out into Citrix' Advanced Products Group.<ref name="Mulcaster_2002"/>
