=====2007 Father Bossi kidnapping===== On June 10, 2007, Italian priest Reverend Giancarlo Bossi was kidnapped near [[Pagadian]], capital of [[Zamboanga del Sur]] Province in the southern Philippines. [[Pope Benedict XVI]] made an appeal to free him. Bossi was released on July 19, 2007, at Karumatan, a Muslim town in [[Lanao del Norte]] Province, allegedly after the payment of ransom. Awang was reportedly involved in the kidnapping of Italian missionary Fr.
