Several soundtracks for the series have been released. The music from the anime was composed by [[Yoshihisa Hirano]] and [[Hideki Taniuchi]], while the CDs were also published by VAP. The first one was ''Death Note Original Soundtrack'', which was released in Japan on December 21, 2006.
