=== France === In France, the fr (feast of St John) is traditionally celebrated with bonfires (fr), and is a Catholic festivity in celebration of Saint John the Baptist. It takes place on 24 June, on Midsummer day (St John's Day). In certain French towns, a tall bonfire is built by the inhabitants in order to be lit on St John's Day. In the fr region and in the Southern part of fr, this huge bonfire is named fr. France also rejoices on 21 June for the Fête de la Musique, which became an international celebration over time.
