====2023 U.S. House Speaker election====
During the 118th Congressional Speakership Election, Representative [[Matt Gaetz]] and a handful of other representatives were holdouts in voting for Rep. [[Kevin McCarthy]] for Speakership. Burchett voted for McCarthy on every ballot.
