==Student life== The Ceremony of Venerating the Heavens and Ancestors ({{lang|zh-Hant|祭天敬祖大典}}) was held for the first time since Cardinal [[Paul Yu Pin]] in 1979, advocating gratitude to nature and thinking of ancestors. Freshmen from the Department of Chinese Literature will sing a section of ''[[Classic of Poetry]]'' in the ceremony. ===Student groups=== Fu Jen Catholic University currently has more than 100 student clubs, divided into 6 categories: academic, artistic, service, leisure and social, physical clubs, and musical clubs.<ref>{{Cite web |url=http://active.dsa.fju.edu.tw/%E7%A4%BE%E5%9C%98.html |title=輔仁大學學務處-課外活動指導組 |access-date=2013-04-30 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130809181552/http://active.dsa.fju.edu.tw/%E7%A4%BE%E5%9C%98.html |archive-date=2013-08-09 |url-status=dead}}</ref> The Cyan Rhyme Award ({{lang|zh-Hant|輔大青韻獎}}) was founded in 1977, it is an annual singing and song composition competition. At the end of Taiwan's martial law, the Fu Jen student once published the underground publication ''Reform'' ({{lang|zh-Hant|改造}}), which was the first demonstration of democratic activities on campus in Taiwan, but it was quickly banned.{{citation needed|date=June 2021}} In May of each year, Fu Jen regularly holds elections of student self-government organizations at all levels of the school (the president of the student union, members of the student council, representatives of all levels of university meetings, etc.) to implement student autonomy and democratic political education. Electronic voting was used for the first time in 2013 to enhance the convenience of student participation.<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://140.136.114.206/blog9/archives/005666.html|title=學生事務: 五月選舉月新制度 大家e起來投票|website=140.136.114.206|accessdate=2 May 2023}}</ref>
