====Timurid dynasty==== {{See|Timurid Empire}} In 1397, Multan was [[Siege of Multan (1398)|besieged]] by [[Timur|Tamerlane]]'s grandson [[Pir Muhammad ibn Jahangir|Pir Muhammad]].<ref>{{cite book|last1=Yousaf|first1=Mohammad|title=A Brief History of Multan|date=1971|publisher=Ferozsons}}</ref> Pir Muhammad's forces captured the city in 1398 following the conclusion of [[Siege of Multan (1398)|the 6-month-long siege]].<ref name="Ahmed"/> Khizr Khan the governor of Multan allied with Amir Timur.
