===Alzheimer's disease===

A 2013 study has suggested a link between [[Alzheimer's]] patients and the caudate nucleus. MRI images were used to estimate the volume of caudate nuclei in patients with Alzheimer's and normal volunteers. The study found a "significant reduction in the caudate volume" in Alzheimer's patients when compared to the normal volunteers.
