[[Ayub Khan]] (1907–1974) was the first and, for many decades, field marshal in the history of Pakistan. He served as the second [[President of Pakistan]] and was the first native [[Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army]]. On 20 May 2025, [[General Asim Munir]] became the second officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal following his command in the brief [[2025 India–Pakistan conflict|conflict with India]].
