PROPARCO is an AFD subsidiary set up in 1977. It is a development [[:fr:Institution financière|finance institution]] with a mandate to promote private investments for growth, [[sustainable development]] and the achievement of the [[Millennium Development Goals]] (MDGs) in emerging and developing countries.
