===Eponymous places=== [[Swift (Deimian crater)|Swift crater]], a [[impact crater|crater]] on [[Mars]]'s [[Natural satellite|moon]] [[Deimos (moon)|Deimos]], is named after Jonathan Swift, who predicted the existence of the [[moons of Mars]].<ref>[http://www.mathpages.com/home/kmath151/kmath151.htm MathPages β Galileo's Anagrams and the Moons of Mars] {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180612142432/http://www.mathpages.com/home/kmath151/kmath151.htm |date=12 June 2018 }}.</ref> In honour of Swift's long-term residence in [[Trim, County Meath|Trim]], there are several monuments in the town. Most notable is Swift's Street, named after him. Trim also held a recurring festival in honour of Swift, called the Trim Swift Festival.
