== Addressing == Addressing in LIN is achieved with a NAD (Node ADdress) that is part of the PID (protected identifier). NAD values are on 7bits, so in the range 1 to 127 (0x7F) and it is a composition of supplier ID, function ID and variant ID. You can obtain a supplier ID by contacting [[CAN in Automation]] that is the authority responsible for the assignment of such identifiers.
