The University of Puget Sound is home to three [[Fraternities and sororities in North America|fraternities]] and four sororities. Puget Sound has "deferred recruitment", which means that fraternities, sororities, and their members are not allowed to have intense contact with freshmen outside of class, athletics or club activities until the spring semester.{{Citation needed|date=February 2025}}
