"Xbox Rewards" was a promotion designed to provide gamers incentives to play on the Xbox network by subsidizing achievement points earned with actual rewards. Gamers were required to register for specific challenges which, if successfully completed, would yield a challenge-specific reward.

"Xbox Live Labs" was a program found in the community section and was available from March 10 to 27, 2011 for members in the United States. ''Metamessage'' was a show which aimed to answer questions sent in by viewers on anything related to the world of Xbox. The show ran for four series and was released every other Saturday. The show was driven entirely by user-generated questions. To ensure the volume of questions remained high, fans could contact the show in a variety of ways, including sending questions to the ''Metamessage'' Gamertag over Xbox LIVE, writing an email, or using social network websites.{{citation needed|date=July 2014}}
