It is the first player in the ZEN line to have the following features: a [[Highcolour|16-bit]] color screen, unlike other ZEN players, which are 8-bit; a battery life of 30 hours (20 with the speakers), which was the longest compared to any previous ZEN player; the ability to read [[e-book]]s; and the ability to show 3 different time zones "at a glance". The ZEN Wav comes in capacities of 2 and 4&nbsp;GB.
