== Awards == In 2009, POGO received the [[Society of Professional Journalists]]' Sunshine Award for its work uncovering wasteful spending in the [[United States Air Force|Air Force]], investigating the [[Minerals Management Service]] at the [[United States Department of the Interior|Department of the Interior]], and compiling the Federal Contractor Misconduct Database.<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.spj.org/news.asp?REF=900|title=SPJ honors the Project On Government Oversight with the Sunshine Award|date=2009-07-09|publisher=Society of Professional Journalists|access-date=2017-09-08}}</ref> In 2015, POGO received five awards from the Washington, DC, chapter of the [[Society of Professional Journalists]]. POGO won the Non-breaking News Award for its coverage of issues at the [[Veterans Affairs|Department of Veterans' Affairs]]; two Investigative Reporting Awards for its coverage of the [[Revolving door (politics)|revolving door]] in government and problems at the [[United States Department of Justice|Department of Justice]]; the Series award also for its coverage of the revolving door; and the Robert D.G.
