According to the [[National Observatory of Athens]] Santorini has a [[hot semi-arid climate]] ([[Köppen climate classification]]: ''BSh'') with [[Mediterranean climate|Mediterranean]] (''Csa'') characteristics, such as the dry summers and the relatively wetter winters.
