===Education=== Jackson attended [[Truman State University]], where he studied [[political science]]. He went on to earn a master's degree in education administration from the school in 1969. But instead of taking a teaching job, Jackson enrolled in the [[Washington University School of Law]] in St. Louis.<ref>Brennan, Carol.
