==Career==
From 4 December 1998 until 31 January 2003, Paravac was a member of the national [[House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina|House of Peoples]]. In the [[2002 Bosnian general election|2002 general election]], he was elected to the national [[House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina|House of Representatives]].

Following the dismissal of [[Mirko Šarović]] from his post at the [[Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina|Bosnian Presidency]] by the [[High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina]], Lord [[Paddy Ashdown]], Paravac was appointed to the post on 10 April 2003. He held the position of [[Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina|Presidency Chairman]] on two occasions.
