== Early implementation == Prominent baseball journalist [[Henry Chadwick (writer)|Henry Chadwick]] is credited with creating the modern baseball box score in 1859.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://baseballhall.org/hall-of-famers/chadwick-henry|title=Henry Chadwick|website=Baseball Hall of Fame|language=en|access-date=2020-02-13}}</ref> In addition to the creation of the Chadwick box score, Chadwick also coined the baseball term "strike-out."
