Poldi Bentley's son [[Peter Bentley (businessman)|Peter Bentley]] (1930-2021) was the Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors. Canfor produces [[Softwood|softwood lumber]], specialty wood products, and [[engineered wood products]]. On November 15, 2018 Canfor announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire a 70% share of the Vida Group, a wood products company based in Sweden.
